Have you ever been to a concert or a festival and realized you needed something you wish you had brought? I go to enough concerts to have a designated concert bag! If you’re planning to go to a concert or festival soon, I hope this guide helps! Of course, some things stay in my bag, and others get added depending on the location/ circumstances. You don’t need to pack everything on this list; these are things to consider.
First, you need a bag! For everyone’s safety, most venues only allow clear bags or smaller-sized fanny packs. I have a couple of different clear bags, but my go-to is this one. It is festival-approved and very spacious, too! The only thing I don’t like about this bag is that it has only one pocket. Amazon has lots of clear bag options if you want something different. I love taking pictures and videos at concerts, so you may need a portable charger, especially for those long festival days. Another essential for concerts and festivals is earplugs! I have a couple of different pairs, but my favorites are between Loop earplugs & Eargasm earplugs. Both are great reusable options, but anything that protects your ears works; for example, those orange foam single-use earplugs work great if you aren’t ready to splurge on reusable earbuds.
The next couple of things I like to bring and usually keep in a plastic baggie are hair ties and bobby pins. Concerts get hot and sweaty, and if you have long hair like me, these are essential. Hand sanitizer is always a good idea! Most festivals have port-a-potties instead of real bathrooms, and sometimes the portable sinks run out of water or soap, so it’s good to keep a bottle of sanitizer.
A water bottle, if the venue allows it, or a CamelBak hydration pack is great to have at festivals. Especially at festivals, you want to stay hydrated. I’ve seen way too many people pass out from dehydration, so it’s very important to have a hydration pack! On the topic of hydration, It’s also good to keep electrolyte packets to add to water. For outdoor concerts and festivals, it’s always good to have outdoor essentials like a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, and a fan. In case you sing your lungs out, it’s good to have cough drops and mints
Of course, you don’t have to pack everything mentioned in this post. It depends on what you think you’ll need and how long your event is. I hope this list helps you plan for your next concert or festival, and if I missed anything, let me know in the comments below!
